Easter, 2014

Low in the grave He lay,
Jesus, my Savior,
Waiting the coming day,
Jesus, my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say! Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high: Alleluia!
Sing ye heavens, thou earth reply. Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done; Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won: Alleluia!
Lo! the sun's eclipse is o'er, Alleluia!
Lo! he sets in blood no more! Alleluia!

This morning we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord.

The children sang the song "Happy Day" by Tim Hughes in "big church", complete with big smiles and choreography. They did such a great job!

The greatest day in history, Death is beaten, You have rescued me
Sing it out Jesus is alive
The empty cross, The empty grave, Life eternal, You have won the day
Shout it out Jesus is alive, He's alive

Oh happy day, happy day, You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day, I'll never be the same
Forever I am changed

When I stand, in that place, Free at last, meeting face to face
I am Yours, Jesus You are mine
Endless joy, perfect peace, Earthly pain finally will cease
Celebrate Jesus is alive, He's alive

The really are no words adequate to sum up the gratitude I have for the man that suffered and died in my place. I very literally am brought to tears every time I think about what He went through for me. Forever I am changed.
