Celebrating Life!

This past week, we celebrated the life of the soon-to-be newest member of our village. It's a surprise as to whether we will be welcoming a baby girl or boy into our midst, and so we patiently wait to find out... I'm not good at waiting for these things. I like to know. And I can hardly wait to meet her (or him), I'm just throwing a guess out there...

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

    your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Psalm 139:13&14

The Cake-Pop Queen, the Mama-to-be, and me.

 The cake pops were a success. The weather was another story. It rained the entire time.

This party was just a bit unusual, unlike any party in the park that I have hosted (or co-hosted) before. First of all, amazing women volunteered to bring food, and crazy amounts of deliciousness they did bring! Secondly, halfway through the party, a couple showed up, and stated that they had reserved the pavilion for that day... And even though I had called and checked the day before, she was right, and had signed proof. And so we packed up and moved. In the middle of the party. In the middle of the rain. With crazy amounts of deliciousness... Thankfully, one of the ladies offered up the use of her house, so we all just packed up, and went there, and called it a "really fun progressive party"...

So the celebrating continued, this time out of the rain. Yay! We enjoyed hot coffee and tea, and the Mama-to-be opened her presents beside the fire.

As you can see, I am all business here folks. The job of "writing down whom the presents are from" is serious work! Everyone say 'Hmmm".

Lots of happy faces!

We had a wonderful time (despite the location change halfway through), and really enjoyed spending time together as ladies and friends. Of course we loved getting to celebrate our newest little love too!
Hooray for new babies!!

So God created mankind in his own image,

    in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27

  Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart...

Jeremiah 1:5
