Pumpkin Patchin'

It's been a week since my "retirement" and I am LOVING it. Grady has asked me several times throughout this past week if I'm "going to work tomorrow", and then he remembers, and smiles so big. I've also caught myself checking the calender and noting to Bryan "we're both off on that day", and then I remember that I'm always off now. It's good, and we are very happy with this change.

This past weekend, we went to Painted Oaks Pumpkin Patch in Chulouta with Bryan's parents and his sister and her family. I remember it being bigger and including more stuff the last time we were there, like bounce houses and face painting, and pony rides, etc...None-the-less, we had a great time. Bryan's parents had given the kids each some money so that they could choose which events they wanted to do while we were there, and they loved that. They all chose the horse ride and the hayride.

Happy 1st Pumpkin Patch, Baby Elise!

It should go without saying, but I LOVE Fall! I love how Fall kinda sets a giant celebratory ball rolling. All things pumpkin turn into Thanksgiving, and then Christmas and then New Years. It's like a promise of great things to come. And I love it!

We're going on a hay ride...
Just hear those hay bells jingling

Ring ting tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a hay ride together with you

"Babe, I feel like we're being watched..."

After the pumpkin patch, we went back to The Buckman house for dinner and fire side roasts. It may not be sweater weather around here, but if sitting near a fire is not torture, that means Fall has come!

Happy Fall Ya'll!
