Hello from the farm!

We are enjoying so much family time here. The lack of internet service, television and other distractions we have actually been appreciated. The weather has been amazing, chilly in the mornings and evenings, like 40’s and 50’s, and the daytimes have been in the 60’s and low 70’s.

This past Monday morning, we woke up early to life on a farm.  Bella, Grady and Bryan went exploring outside, while Lilly and I spent some time relaxing inside.

This year, waiting for us in the fridge, was two gallons of fresh, raw milk.

After breakfast, the kids all found some quiet things to do before we started school.

We came up earlier than originally planned, so that my dad and Bryan could work on replacing my grandparents roof.

While they worked, the kids and I, and my cousin Chris went to the mall for some shopping and lunch, and a little something special.

While we were standing in Children's Place, looking at the kids jewelry, the girls kept picking up earrings, and I kept saying, “but you don’t have your ears pierced.” After a while, we realized that it seemed only logical to go get them done, as both girls wanted to, and off we went.
Bella was so brave. I could tell she was nervous, but she still managed to keep smiling.

And after… Not a tear. She said she wanted to be brave for Lilly.

After a hard days work, we went back to the farmhouse just in time for a beautiful sunset.
