Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort

The sunset on our first night.
After a rough week last week, saying goodbye to our family dog and friend, a little R&R was perfectly timed. Bryan's parents invited us to join them and his sister, her husband and baby for a week at the beach, and it has been wonderful.

On our first morning here, Bella was up bright and early, and ready to start the adventure. In an effort to let the littles sleep in, we headed out for a walk on the beach. The hotel was still and quiet, ready for a day full of activity.

We spent some time after breakfast playing games and coloring, and then we hit the pool.

Rollin' Lazy River style.

Our little bunch is sharing the studio, so we've got three on the floor and a king size bed, which has worked out well for us. The rest of the family is sharing the adjoining suite.

These little baby doves are living in a palm tree nest on the other side of our balcony, and the kids are in love with them. They've been named, and re-named several times over the last few days, and there are high hopes that they will learn to fly before we leave...

"O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret place of the steep pathway... your voice is sweet, And your form is lovely." Song of Solomon 2:14
