Bella Grace.

Oh, my Bella Grace.
This weekend my girl rocked her three dance recitals. It was a whole lotta busy, and drivin' around, and make-up on, make-up off, make-up back on, and the same thing with the slathering of the hair gel, and the donning of tights and sparkly outfits. And after it was all over, I was exhausted... I mean, I was proud, and happy, and thankful, and smiling, and so very much loving my big girl. And most importantly, she loved it! She had a great time, and is already looking forward to next year.
Bryan and Grady had a little man time, and went to the first showing, on Friday night. After we dropped Bella off, Lilly and I went home to a quiet house and played marble roll. I tried to remember a time when Bella was close to her age, when she was our only little. It seems so long ago. I remember it being so much quieter. And slower... and while I loved that time alone with my girl, I have to say, loud and crazy is tons of fun too.
Anyway, Bryan and Grady went to watch Bella's first show.

I went to the Saturday afternoon show, and both sets of Bella's grandparents went to her final show on Saturday night. She was very well showered with flowers and gifts by the end of it all.
My photography disclosure for the following pictures: shooting a bright stage, in a dark room is difficult. I am not a professional. I discovered the loss of my zoom lens the day of Bella's dress rehearsal. I cried, and frantically searched my house for hours. I called a friend and asked her if I could borrow her super duper fancy camera for a few hours, and she graciously gave me that, and every imaginable attachment to go with it. Thank you Rose!

Her first dance was a ballet to "The Turkish March". Her second, was a tap routine to "Walk Like An Egyptian".  It's a little bit like "Where's Waldo?", so I'll help ya out, Bella is the second from the left in the pictures below.

After the show, there was a finale routine with the instructors, and then the big bow at the end. It was such a great performance. Next year we will do it all over again, but with both of our sweet girls. Lilly has made her declaration that she wants to be a dancer like Bella. It should be interesting...

  1. Bella, you look beautiful and so graceful!

  2. Bella, you are so beautiful inside and out. I loved seeing these photos of your recital. Wow, it looks amazing!

Amy, you must be so proud of her. I'm proud of her and she's not even my daughter! :)

  3. Thank you ladies! Those sweet words brought big smiles from girl!
