It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Our Christmas tree is decorated. It's slightly misshapen, but it's ours, and we embrace it. Not literally.

Our stockings are hung by the... TV with care.

The kids special surprise lights are up. Every year, after we finish the tree, I secretly decorate the kids' rooms with just a string of lights. It is usually slightly haphazard and sloppy, but they love it.

We are Christmas music singing machines! Tonight before bed, instead of reading stories, we sat in Bella's bed, by the light of the Christmas lights, and sang Christmas carols. Bella and Grady have a few songs they will be singing in church, so they practiced those, and then we sang other favorites. And I thought to myself a million times, how much I love this time of the year.

And all of these moments make me want to sing...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five and ten glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in ev'ry store
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.
