Ready to run!

Our vacation begins in T-minus 16 hours, 47 minutes, 6 seconds... but who's counting?! This has been one of the busiest weeks we've had in a long time, but we are moving right along. As busy as we've been, I have managed to get everything done. I must note, if it were not for a TON of help from Bryan and a sweet friend offering to watch my kids for a few hours so I could pack, I would be pulling my hair out right now. Or at least staying up until 3am to get everything packed. `

Yesterday, we started our morning off with school, the last day of school for two weeks. We decided to take a break from our regular curriculum while we are gone (and not drag all of our books with us). There will be daily learning while we are gone however, don't you worry!

After school, we took Lilly to the doctor for her 2 year check up. On the way there, Bella explained every single imaginable thing that could possibly happen to her, in great detail, "just so she would be prepared". It made me realize, that Bella would probably like the same done for her. She tends to ask a lot of questions about new situations, and wants to know what to expect. Which also probably means that it's gonna be a long trip to Pennsylvania.

Lilly did so well. She didn't cry, she smiled and was sweet, and she chatted with all of the staff. Her current stats are 60% height and 45% weight. Like I always say, as long as my kids are taller than they are wide, it's all good.

After our doctor visit, I dropped the kids off at our friends' house, and I got to go home and pack, and clean, and finish up laundry, and even squeeze in 30 minutes of cardio while the wash was washing. It's amazing how much can be accomplished when uninterrupted... Thanks Kim!

That evening, more sweet folks watched the children, so that I could go to dinner with some friends from work. And when I got to The Cheesecake Factory, I saw a guy in a T-shirt that said "Too blessed to be stressed", and I agreed. Thank you Williams!

Today we partied! First, we celebrated Bella and Grady's best friends, at a pool party.

The picture below makes me smile. There is no real point to it, except that there is a bunch of fun going on!

After the birthday celebration, we headed to Bryan's parent's house for their annual Back-to-school party.

My photography note of the day: I realized today, that many times I zoom in on specific people, like my kids, and I miss capturing the many people all around. Both of these parties had a lot people at them, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the pictures. I need to work on that.

Next stop... ROAD TRIP!! In 16 hours, 21 minutes, and 17 seconds.
