A fast-forward weekend.

Our fast-forward weekend started off with a Happy Birthday celebration of this sweet 3 year old.

His mama planned a pirate party, and it was a blast. There were pirate hats, a water slide, a shark infested swimming pool, a water balloon fight, a treasure box piñata, all kinds of themed foods, great handmade decorations, and a delicious pirate ship cake. It was so much fun, that I only managed to take a few pictures (shocking!).

It was most impressive that this little boy's mama accomplished all of this party fun, only weeks after their baby's brain surgery. This family continues to amaze and inspire me. They are strong, and have handled unthinkable stress with such a beautiful display of faith. You can read their story here.

After the party, the fun continued, as my parents came to spend the rest of the weekend with us. There was dinner at Chick-fil-a, lots of story telling, book reading, and sleepover fun. Then church this morning, pizza making for lunch, cleaning house, playing with chickens, mowing lawn, bubble baths, and finally bedtime.

We are looking forward to the start a new week, and new adventures.
Happy Monday to ya!
