Super Saturday Fun Day!

Saturday, was a crazy, busy, hot, sweaty and a super fun day.

We started out by meeting some friends at a Family Fun Day event in Lake Mary, to benefit the nearly 2,000 homeless children of Seminole County, Florida. The event was organized by my friend Deanna and she rocked it!

There was a bounce house, and face painting, and a butterfly farm. There were lots of freebies and prizes. There were dogs, and hopscotch, and sno-cones.

The boys played laser tag, while the girls sat in the shade, and watched.

This guy was representing Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt.

We bought these three little caterpillars (one for each child), that will soon turn into butterflies.

And then, the event we had all been waiting for... Twiggy, the world-famous water skiing squirrel!

After all of the Twiggy excitement, we went home and had lunch with our friends, which was not without excitement of its own. You know, it's not a party, unless someone gets pecked in the eye by a chicken...

From there, we went to the park to celebrate a super special little boy. There was fishing and playing, and all kinds of fun to be had.

I went to take a picture of the kids that were fishing, and I literally laughed out loud. Nate and Bryan, with 8 children, and 4 fishing poles with hooks swinging around. I am laughing right now.

Thankfully, Uriah was right behind me to join them in the fun. What a great group of fathers and children. It makes my heart smile to look back on these sweet moments.

These kids were hot and sweaty, and exhausted from all of the fun they were having. It was a beautiful day, and a great party.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jedidiah Owen! We love you!

We went straight from the birthday party, to a graduation party of a family friend.

These two girls have been friends since they were only a few weeks old.

It was non-stop all day, but at the end of the night, on the way home, we were so thankful. Thankful for friends and family. Thankful that we went, when we thought it might be too much. Thankful for relationships. Thankful for differences and similarities. Thankful for those that have invested time and energy into our lives, and how full our lives are because of them.
