All good things...

All good things, must come to an end. At the end of a fun day, after dinner with my parents, we come back to my grandpa's place and go for an evening swim. It's kind of a vacation ritual every night. It relaxes the kids, and probably saps up the last remaining bit of wild travelling energy. And then everyone sleeps like a dream.

Lilly wants to swim like the big kids. She believes in her heart, that she can swim. She runs and jumps, and really doesn't care if anyone is there to catch her. It's very scary.

Grady has found his swimming confidence this year. He still swims with "Safety Seal", but he can motor all over the place with no help. It's been fun to see him confident in his new skills.

We don't have a pool at home, so the kids don't have all that much time to practice their swimming. But when they have the chance, they don't want to get out. I see the determination, and the desire to get better on their little faces. They love it. And they love that feeling of accomplishment when they get it.

Bella can swim on her own, so now she wants to get better at crossing the deep end, and "jumping in".  Oh, these kids make me smile.

Today we went for a walk, and for lunch in Downtown Melbourne.

First of all, I love Downtown Melbourne. I love the little shops, and the old architecture, the shady sidewalks, and just the fun and different things to see.

Secondly, I found a new favorite. I love this cute little burger restaurant. The burgers and fries were great. The music and style were fun, and it was very clean. And the kid's meals came out in corvettes. I'm sold.

And now, like all good things, our little vacation must also come to an end. Goodbye, Melbourne. Until next time. (I will miss you delicious Burger Place!)
